Only 1 week until school starts!

One week from today we will begin kindergarten in Room 2! I have some very exciting things planned and am looking forward to seeing all the children and meeting all the parents. We will have about 15 minutes for an information session with parents and then the rest of the morning will be orientation and exploration. We will talk about things like: getting in a line; sharing the talking time; locations of places in the classroom and in the school; what to do when we have a fire drill; and the #1 rule. (That #1 rule is: Never hurt anyone on the inside or the outside.) We will unpack our supplies and get special places at our tables. We will also talk about how we write our names and what we look like. How are you special? Is it your green eyes or maybe you have long fingers? What special things can you do?
