The Year is over!

This year has come to an end with mixed feelings for all of us. The children have gone home for the summer vacation, some with smiles, some with tears. The room is packed up and ready for a good cleaning. I am reflecting on the past nine months with great fondness. As a group, we love the excitement of this first experience in 'real' school, but also the routine of the school year. We love our friends and the special things we share with them. We love recess and center time. We love learning to fit together with others in a new setting. As the teacher I have loved seeing the growth of the children as they begin to respect one another and appreciate the strengths of others. I love the developmental leaps the children have taken from the 'listening to sounds' level to the reading level. It is amazing how much growth I have seen in this wonderful group of children. Thank you parents for sharing this time and your children with me. I will treasure this 2005-2006 school year always!
