Miss Heidi

The kindergarten children at Lincoln School have been blessed by weekly (nearly!) sessions with Miss Heidi, an occupational therapist from the hospital. She works with the children on fine motor skills and visual dexterity. These pictures show the game the kids played this week with her. They are set up with partners and use large animal tongs to carry 10 small beads across the floor one at a time. Then they give the tongs to their partner and they return the beads to the starting place. The kids love this game! It helps strengthen their hands for cutting, writing, coloring and other activities vital for kindergarten children.
