Kindergarten is getting even more exciting!

This week has been terrific! We are learning new letters every day and now know A through J. We are building patterns, counting, rhyming, learning shapes, painting, cutting and learning lots of new poems and nursery rhymes. Has your child shared any of those with you?

How is your child doing with remembering your phone number and your address? On Friday of this coming week we will begin to test children individually on these two very important things.

This coming Monday through Wednesday, September 12-14, I will be gone for my father's major surgery in Billings. We will have a 'guest teacher' on those days. Be sure to send notes about any changes that are happening for your child. The children met Mrs. Goroski on Friday and hopefully that will help with this change in routine. Let me know on Thursday if there are any concerns that you have.

Our Book Order is due back by Thursday and we will have our regular Show and Tell on Friday. Please take some time to help your child find something to share that tells us more about what is important to him/her. We have had some wonderful things coming in, but several are not bringing anything to share.

I have added a link to click on called Literacy Center Education Network. The page that it comes up to has several games that help children learn letter names and shape names. I thought they might be fun for some of the kids! Let me know of any links you found for your child and I will have put them up, too!
