Plants in Room 2

Room 2 children have been studying plants for the past couple of weeks. We have learned that plants are alive and need air, water, sun and soil to grow. We have learned the parts of a plant, roots, stems, leaves and flowers, and what each parts function is. This past week we examined 8 different kinds of seeds and then put each kind in a window greenhouse. These pictures show the children looking at each kind of seed and a card that shows what they look like as they sprout. Now we are watching them sprout in the window greenhouses! Look for more pictures as they grow and we can indentify the plant parts.
