A NEW SCHOOL YEAR IN ROOM 2!
Welcome to a new year in our classroom at Lincoln School! We have completed 3 days and we are having a great time! It is exciting to meet new friends, see new thngs and try different things. One of the first things we are learning is each other's names. We learn to say them and read them and that is lots of fun!
We are also learning to use our voices to tell others what we want and how we feel. This is new to some and not always easy. It is so much easier if we can immediately take care of a situation before it becomes a problem. The kids are going to try this at home and day care, too!
The children are learning about taking turns in school, too. Many of us are used to talking whenever we want and it is kind of hard to remember to raise our hands before we share at carpet times. In Room 2 the people also share toys and equipment. (See the pictures of us sharing at the playhouse, the color sort and the listening center.)
